A “green” roundtable discussion will take place at Luxe Pack Monaco 2013, on Wednesday October 23rd, 4 – 5:30 pm. The session is called “Eco-design, refills, bulk, recycling …: which ways to reduce environnemental impact of packaging tomorrow.”

Packaging is part of the luxury universe, expressing creativity, high quality research, details and values. At the same time, the environmental impact of packaging is crucial and luxury brands are trying to answer the challenges of “green” without deteriorating their luxury image.

The topics that will be covered include these questions:

From eco-conception to eco-refills, from recycling to bulk, what are the new deals of eco-innovation in luxury packaging?
How can lighter packaging be made without weakening marketing messages?
What are the new challenges but also the economical levers of eco packaging for luxury brands?

The discussion will be moderated by Elizabeth Laville, director & founder of the sustainable development consulting agency Utopies.

The participants will be:

Sandrine Sommer, sustainable development manager, Guerlain
Sandrine Noel, environnement manager, Louis Vuitton
Christophe de La Taillade, creative director, Thierry Mugler
Michel Fontaine, president of the French National Packaging Council
